Description: Non-profit, Independent school looking for homeroom teachers. School offers a blend of teaching philosophies but focuses on catering to the individual needs of each child. Integration of agriculture, nature elements in the learning process. 

The ideal candidate:

  • Is child-centered, loving, and compassionate
  • Has a positive attitude
  • Is a team player
  • Is cooperative and collaborative 
  • Takes initiative and is willing to lend a helping hand
  • Has a strong work ethic and is open to learning new things

Teacher responsibilities: 

  • To develop and follow a teaching plan including unit and day plans
  • To create and utilize a number of activities that allow for extension of in class instruction (i.e. application and hands on learning) 
  • To keep open communication with parents.
  • To be available for community building events and fundraisers that are sometimes scheduled for evenings and weekends.
  • To adapt and work to meet the individual needs of each child 

Education, Experience and Qualifications: 

  • OCT, ECE or demonstrable relevant teaching experience 
  • A current & original Police Vulnerable Sector Check from the police jurisdiction where you reside
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a teaching environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Great classroom management skills
  • Excellent teamwork skills
